A fresh mix of pop and jazz inspired by Stevie Wonder and Jason Mraz.
Joshua Tazman is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter in the Bay Area. His yearning, pure vocals soar above a lush texture of acoustic guitar and piano, delivering a fresh pop-jazz mix that draws from Stevie Wonder, Jason Mraz, and Joshua’s “multitude of talents” (Mark Mazzetti, President of Record Company in a Box).
Joshua plans to release his debut EP, titled “Jump,” in July 2015. From the title track, a plea for taking a risk on love, to Superman on Broken Wings, a passionate call to be lifted out of normality, to Let the Light In, a reminder to live for the present, Joshua celebrates the pursuit, loss, and recognition of our dearest dreams. Joshua has opened for top Bay Area jazz artists such as saxophonist Michael Zilber and vocalist Sandy Cressman, and he regularly fills a 3-hour set at the Old Skool Café, self-accompanying on guitar and piano.
